MANILA, Philippines – Donnie Nights is set to fight Kazuoto Yoka, the junior bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Organization, when the sanctioning body names him a mandatory challenger.

The 39-year-old Filipino boxer got a title chance after ordering a rematch with the WBO Japanese champion four years after losing to IOCA for the championship zero on New Year’s Eve 2018.

“Please be advised that the WBO World Championship Committee is hereby ordering the commencement of discussions on the content,” WBO wrote.

“The parties here have 30 days from the issuance of this letter to discuss and reach an agreement accordingly. If an agreement is not reached within the timeframe mentioned here, the purse bid process will be called according to the WBO regulations of the World Championships. “

The company also requires a minimum bid of 100,000 for the upcoming Nietes-Ioka match.

Nietes, who holds a 43-1-6 record with 26 knockouts, last saw action against Norbelto Jimenez in Dubai on December 11, 2021, where they ended in a draw.
