Princess Supral came home on Thursday to shoot a three-under-par 69, drain three of her four birdies, and take a three-stroke lead over Chanel Avaricio to advance to the final round of the P750,000 ICTSI Hello Ridge Ladies Challenge in San Pedro, Laguna.
After being rejected by a drop-only shot in the third hole Birdie 5, Avaricio, who started the day tying for the lead, took the shot at 142 aggregates on the 10th, 13th and 18th of Supral, starting the day with the same number of bogies for a mixed 72. Three birdies in contrast.
Amateur LK Go, who made himself a two-stroke penalty in the first round, returned a 73, another shot back and stayed in the mix.
Hermie Constantino and Chihiro Ikeda have made 75 and 74 cards, respectively, in their first 36 holes using the same game plan as seven drift as a supral gun for the first win of the year.
“It will still be about the position of your ball for the next shot,” Supral said. “And hopefully, I’ll make more put.”
Avaricio, who calls the course home, has not been able to take advantage after failing to do what Supral has done so far.
