Antipolo – Tots Carlos believes that his first Premier Volleyball League Open Conference MVP is just the beginning of his career as a professional.
Carlos completed his groundbreaking conference by winning the MVP Plum and leading the Crimline to a perfect championship race with a 25-18, 15-25, 25-23, 25-16 win over Petro Gaz in Game 2 at the Ynares Sports Center here on Friday.
When asked about his first pro MVP, Carlos couldn’t help but recall their hardships last year in which Cherry Tigo served as his biggest inspiration in last season’s disappointing final.
“As I always say, all the tears, the sweat, the bubble training, which happened last year. I learned a lot from that experience, “said Carlos after scoring 16 points to win the title.
“It simply came to our notice then. I really look forward to the next conference, “he added.

More than personal honors, the Philippine University standout was happy that the Cool Smashers were able to “bounce back with good vibes” that had been his team’s goal since the start of the season.
“It simply came to our notice then. It’s great, we’re especially happy that we did it in front of our fans, “he said.
“It simply came to our notice then. We really wanted to bring back the glory of our team. All the players and coaches were focused on our preparations for this season. “
Carlos has hampered his rise as the new star of the Crimline, saying their success is largely due to the chemistry of the team as he formed a strong spiking trio with Alyssa Valdez and Gema Galanzer, adapting Zia de Guzman’s great plays.
“Our team is like a family. We are very open and everyone’s purpose is to help each other. I really love this family, “he said.
