MANILA, Philippines – Kremlin head coach Sherwin Menezes is honored to have won his first championship at the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

After dropping out of several semifinals during her tenure at UAAP Women’s Volleyball in Adamson, after a heartbreaking NCAA Season 93 final loss in the Philippine Superleague extinct Generica-Ayala and calling for shots for the Arelano men’s volleyball team in 2018, Later the championship tasted success.

“I am very happy to finally win a championship after always having less reading in my past career,” said Menezes, who was promoted to head coach this season after Bundit decided to stay in Thailand.

“We are really ready for this conference. That’s why we got this great result. “

Meneses admits it wasn’t easy to fill Bundit’s big shoes, who created the program and won the first three of the franchise’s four titles.

“The first time management told me (coaches can’t do that), I was really challenged,” he recalls.

But Bundit’s former deputy last PVL season is glad that the Thai strategist kept in touch and still helped them in training.

“Coaches are still part of our success. He always calls us, “Menesis said.

Compared to last year’s runner-up Finnish, Menezes said the biggest improvement in the blocked crimline was after Ced Domingo and Jeanette Panaga consistently provided a strong frontline to achieve their perfect 8-0 record at the Open Conference.

“Our blocking has really improved. This conference boils down to teams that have good net defense. My players have done well, ”he said.

Menezes said Alyssa Valdez completed their success as she turned the finals into her own playground when she emerged as the final MVP with an average of 23.0 points in two games.

“Alyssa Alyssa. She was born to play on a really big stage,” he said.

It was a sweet first title for Menezes but he promised it would not be his last because he wanted to provide more for the Crimeline.
