MANILA, Philippines – Meralco’s Remar Jose and Barংa Ginnebra’s Arvin Tolentino almost clashed in the eroded second of Game 1 of the PBA Governors ‘Cup final that tarnished the Bolts’ highly credible victory at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday night.
As the result progressed, the two were involved in a Meralco attack with about seven seconds left, and the pair left for the hallway for the locker room after the game.
Investigative commissioner Willie Marshall was asked to comment, saying both would be “verbally reprimanded at least before (Friday) Game 2.”
Marshall said his office would thoroughly review the incident on Thursday afternoon and determine whether a fine would be imposed.
