MANILA, Philippines: At risk of losing control of the series, Meralco fired one hard shot after another while making all the necessary stops at the other end, to stop Geneva, 83-74, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday night.

The Bolts ride Tony Bishop Jr., Chris Newsome, and Allen Malksy in the pay-off frame and then return to the indomitable Cliff Hodge in defense to take control of the best-of-seven series 2-1.

The Panamanian standout was wound up with 30 points and 16 rebounds while Newsome 20 and 11 spikeed six assists in a tough fight competition with the Bolts falling behind by 13 points.

Maliksey, who was scoreless in Game 2, also scored seven of his 10 points in the fourth round.
Justin Brownlee had 19 points, while Christian Standhardinger Barange took another 17 points for Geneva who missed Japeth Aguilar.

Jean Kings drew 11 points from LA Tenorio and Scottie Thompson but could not tab to the win before the PBA epidemic record of 16,104.

The series now returns to the Caverns Smart Araneta Coliseum, where Meralco is shooting for control of the series.
