MANILA, Philippines – Kai Sotto was ruled out of the second half as the Adelaide 36ers lost to the Brisbane Bullets, 92-91, in the Australian National Basketball League at the Nissan Arena on Sunday.
Soto played just four minutes and 33 seconds in the first half, finishing with three points, two rebounds and a block.
Jason Cady unloaded 26 points from seven three-pointers – including a tray that gave the Bullets 89-86 breaths at the last two minute mark.
Lamar Patterson had 14 points, while Tom Digbeau smashed two important free throws to seal their victory as he added 13 points and four rebounds, ending Brisbane’s two-game skid for 9-15.
Adelaide faced its second consecutive draw, trailing 7-15.
Daniel Johnson carried 36ers with 28 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Sunday Deach had 14 points, with Todd Withers and Hiram Harris adding 12 points each.
The 36-year-old is hopeful of ending their recession against the Sydney Kings at the Adelaide Entertainment Center on Sunday.
