NBA: Surging Suns edge Warriors, team record tie to win

Chris Paul hit the last two baskets of the game 1:24, with Lane having a clutch runner with 13.1 seconds left, as the Phoenix Suns survived a foul-filled finish to win their singles-season franchise record 107-103. Win against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday in San Francisco.

Devin Booker finished with 22 points, went 12-for-10 on the line, and tied for the team-high honors with Mikal Bridges 22, matching San Francisco’s record of 1992-93 franchise (62-14) and tie. Helps to 2004-05. Phoenix won its ninth game in a row.

Jordan Poole tied the height of his career, setting against the New Orleans Pelicans last May, a game-high 38 points (48-29) for the Warriors. Golden State suffered its fourth consecutive defeat and is tied for third place in the Western Conference with the Dallas Mavericks.

Paul’s hoop came to make a difference after calling Golden State’s Drymond Green 102-101 with 31.2 seconds left.

Down to three in the final seconds, the Warriors had the next two possessions, but the Sons were deliberately selected to foul Green in the first, giving Phoenix a 104-103 lead with 12.4 seconds left.

After Paul hit two foul shots to recover a three-point edge to go 7.7 seconds, Poole made a mistake in a half court shot that could force extra time.

Paul broke the 96-all tie with an 8-foot floater with 1:37 remaining, then scored 14 of the game’s final 16 points on foul lines, ending at -30 for Phoenix 24 and 20 for Golden State. -25.

Booker’s 22 points came despite shooting for 5 for 21. The Sun surpassed 25 percent shooting in the 3-point effort (7 for 28).

Deandre Ayton joined the 16-point, 16-rebound double-double for Phoenix, Paul finished with 15 points and a game-high eight assists, and Jay Crowder added 10 points for the cause.

Andrew Wiggins backed the pool with 19 points for the Warriors, who played again without star Stephen Curry (foot).

Clay Thompson added 13 points on the shooting night for 5 for 21, where Gary Payton II went for 10 points and Green collected 10 rebounds, seven assists and eight points.
