London-based Sebastian Vettel will compete for Aston Martin in Australia next week after missing the first two Grand Prix of the season due to Covid-19, the Formula One team said on Thursday.
Fellow German Nico Hulkenberg became the four-time world champion in the Bahraini opener and last weekend in Saudi Arabia with Canadian regular Lance Stroll.
Aston Martin has yet to score a point in 2022, the only other team with Williams to have drawn a draw in both races.
Aston Martin said on Twitter: “We are pleased to announce that Sebastian Vettel is now fit for the race and will be lining up with @lance_stroll in Melbourne to start his 2022 @ F1 season,” Aston Martin said on Twitter.
