Anaheim, California – Connor McDavid had one goal and two assists to extend his point streak to 13 games, Leon Dresitel scored his 50th goal of the season and the Edmonton Oilers won their fourth game in a row with a 6-1 victory over Anaheim. Ducks on Sunday nights.
DrySittle also assisted Brett Kulak’s goal of scoring the 100th point of the 2021-22 campaign.
Kulak and Tyson Barry each had one goal and two assists, and Ryan Nujent-Hopkins had one goal and one assist as the Eulers picked up a game for second place in the Pacific Division within a point of Los Angeles. Jesse Puljuzarvio also scored and Mike Smith made 31 saves.
The Eulers will play in the Kings on Thursday.
Jack Aston-Rees scored for Anaheim and John Gibson made 40 saves. The Ducks have lost 12 of their last 13 games and scored 19-9 as they swept the three-game season series.
McDavid made it 2-0 at 8:58 for the first time, scoring five seconds in a power play to reach 40 goals for the third time, joining Wayne Greetsky, Jerry Curie and Glenn Anderson for three or more seasons for Edmonton. Gretzky has done it nine times, Currie seven times and Anderson four times.
Puljujarvi pulled his sharp-angle shot down the crossbar to give Edmonton a 4-0 edge at 4:15 seconds, with McDavid leading the way for his ninth game of the season with three or more points. He has 11 goals and 15 assists in his last 13 games, and has 11 multipoint games in that span.
DrySittle reached the 50-goal mark with a one-timer 3:58 to make it 6-1. He is the fourth player to have multiple 50-goal seasons for the Oilers, joining Gretzky (8), Currie (4) and Anderson (2).
