Canada’s Alfonso Davis has been named the 2021 CONCACAF Men’s Player of the Year

Alfonso Davis was named the 2021 CONCACAF Male Player of the Year at the CONCACAF Awards on Monday night.

In the 2021 calendar year, Davis scored five goals and took eight assists in 13 2022 World Cup qualifiers for the Canadian national team. Canada qualified for the World Cup on March 26.

In club competition, Davis has won his third consecutive Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich.

U.S. women’s national team player Crystal Dunn was named the 2021 CONCACAF Women’s Player of the Year. Canada’s Christine Sinclair, Stephanie Lab and Jesse Fleming were nominated for the award.
