MANILA, Philippines – Brothers Kifer and Third Ravenna suffered separate heartbreaking defeats in the Japan B League on Wednesday.
Kifer and Shiga Lexsters have turned from heroes to lemons as the Shiga Lexsters suffered their 13th straight defeat to Gunma Crane Thunders, 83-84, at the City Sports Park Civic Gymnasium.
The 28-year-old guard stole 17 points, seven assists, four rebounds and three and spread his team’s fourth-quarter rally.
Ravenna scored 16-6 to make up for the seven-point deficit and Shiga stretched to 83-80.
With three seconds left, Trey Jones led Gunma to 84-63 with four points in a row. Ravenna tried a potential game-winning jumper but missed as her team went down to 10-30.
Michael Parker led Gunma to a 17-21 lead with 22 points, nine rebounds and a three-game skid led by two blocks. Justin Cannon chipped in 19 markers, eight rebounds and eight assists, with Jones adding 17.
Shaun O’Mara gave Shiga power with another rate of 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Thirdi and Sun-en Neophinix lost 65-91 to Shimane Susanu Magic at the Toyohashi City Gymnasium.
Little Ravenna was limited to six points, two rebounds and one assist as Sun-N dropped their third game to 8-34. Max Hisat carried Sun-N with 20 points, 18 rebounds and two steals.
Nick led the way for Shiman with 19 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steels, where Perrin Bufford and Nike Williams made 16 as they improved to 34-10.
