MANILA, Philippines – Kifar Ravenna smashed two crucial free throws to end the Shiga Lexsters’ 16-game skid after escaping Osaka Avesa, 79-78, in the Japan B League at Ukaruchan Arena on Saturday.

With 18 seconds left in the match, Ravenna drew a foul from Hiromu Nakamura and showed Steele’s nerves.

Makoto Kinoshita had a chance to put Osaka ahead, but as time ran out he missed a jump shot.

Ravenna made a double-double delivery with 13 points and 11 assists that went with three rebounds as the Lexsters improved to 11-33.

Nover Gadson led Shiga with a double-double of his own with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Tepei Kashiwagura and Shaun O’Mara were important with 16 and 15 points respectively.

Osaka dropped 20-24 in their seventh consecutive game, leading Kinoshita by 20 points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Thirty Ravenna and Dwight Ramos could not play in their so-called showdown as Toyama Gross beat San-N Neophinix, 92-80, at the Toyohashi City Gymnasium.

Ramos missed his third game for Toyama, while little Ravenna was not in uniform due to the weather.

Joshua Smith picked up the Grosses with 24 points and 12 rebounds as Bryce Johnson improved to 19-29 in their third consecutive win with 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steels.

The Neophenics lost their seventh match in a row, falling 8-38. Max Hisatek led Sun-N with 18 points and six rebounds, while Elias Harris provided 17 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
